Just 45 minutes from Bryan, you’ll find the home of Blue Bell Creamery. Sold in 22 states, this popular ice cream is made at the factory in Brenham alongside the company’s visitors center which shares the story of this tasty treat.
Enjoy a scoop (or two!) at the Blue Bell Creamery and watch how ice cream is made from the factory’s observation deck.
2. Visit the Magnolia Market at the Silos.
Made famous from the HGTV show ‘Fixer Upper,’ Joanna and Chip Gaines’ Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco is just 1.5 hours from Downtown Bryan. Shop home goods and get inspired with ideas for your own home.
Grab a bite to eat at local food trucks, shop local produce and flowers at the Magnolia Seed + Supply store, and enjoy family time with games on the big green lawn.
3. Feed Your Curiosity at NASA Johnson Space Center.
Explore space and meet an astronaut at NASA Johnson Space Center, just two hours away in Houston. Take a 90-minute tram tour of the Space Center, explore the Rocket Park with Saturn V rockets on display, and see where flight controllers monitor activities at the International Space Center at Mission Control.

4. Visit the Texas State Capitol.
Discover the past when you make the two-hour drive to Austin and the Texas State Capitol. Guided tours of the historic building take place daily and explore stories of the legislature and Texas history. As the largest known commercial caverns in Texas, San Antonio’s Natural Bridge Caverns takes visitors underground to explore the naturally-made formations created by water and time. A cool 70 degrees and 180 feet underground, guided tours take you on a discovery of the creations of stalagmites and stalactites.
For above-ground adventures, have fun on the ropes course and test your skills at the 5,000-square foot outdoor maze.
