We looked at The Experience Institute's 2017 industry study, An Examination of the Behaviors Behind the Decision to Attend, to find out what attendees want in a destination experience. After all, when you know what attendees want, your meeting will exceed expectations every time.

There was one incontrovertible finding. The destination experience matters! (But you knew that.) So, we looked further into some of the destination characteristics that are important to attendees and that help make the destination experience a positive one.

“Attendees and prospective attendees were asked to think about the destination/city experience and rate the level of importance of the nine factors. Eight of the nine factors were ranked as ‘Important’ and ‘Very Important’ by over two-thirds of the respondents.”
