George Bush Library

Honor and Learn at Our Museums

Explore our country’s past at one of the top attractions in Texas at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. You’ll find artifacts, a photo-worthy Oval Office desk replica and even interactive displays like landing a plane on an aircraft carrier. You’ll also see a World War II Avenger Torpedo Bomber, a piece of the Berlin Wall and much more.

Active-duty military personnel and their families receive free admission from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

At the Museum of the American G.I., learn about stories from World War I to Vietnam with fully restored uniforms, operational vehicles and more. Pay tribute to lives lost at the museum’s Vietnam Heroes Exhibit featuring hand-embossed dog tags representing every Texas serviceman who died or went missing during the Vietnam War.

2018 will be the inaugural year for the Texas Weekend of Remembrance at Veterans Park in College Station on May 25-27. Military members, veterans, their families and the general public are invited to gather to honor the memories of those lost while serving. Admission is free and  the event will include a display of military vehicles, musical performances, children’s activities and more. Active military and veterans will also be invited to compete in 7-on-7 football and softball tournaments.
