Join us for our final film in our 2018 Summer Film Series, “Despicable Me 2." Released in 2013, Despicable Me 2 is the second film in Disney’s Despicable Me series and includes voice talents from Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Benjamin Bratt and Russell Brand.
Super villain Gru has given up his life of crime to raise his three adoptive daughters: Margo, Edith and Agnes. But the inventive Gru can’t stay away from trouble for long and is soon recruited by the Anti-Villain League (AVL) to track down the perpetrator who has pulled off a spectacular heist. A reluctant Gru must navigate a new gadgetry, the complexities of parenthood and his attraction to AVL Agent Lucy Wilde in an effort to complete his mission and keeps his title as the World's Worst Super Villain. “Despicable Me 2” is rated PG and is 98 minutes in length.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs as we enjoy this film under the stars. Games and free refreshments will begin at 7 p.m., and the movie will start just after sundown. You may bring your coolers, but please no pets or glass containers.
This summer’s movies are being shown in conjunction with the newest exhibit at the Bush Library and Museum, "Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion." The exhibit celebrates the life of Leonardo da Vinci, a well-known painter, sculptor, musician, architect, engineer and anatomist. The exhibit includes life-sized and fully operational machines based on Leonardo’s original designs. Visitors may touch and set them in motion, combining a fascinating hands-on experience with an exploration of the principles he employed to create each machine. “Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion” will be on display through January 6, 2019. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore Leonardo da Vinci’s legacy up close.
